CKGM Rendez-Vous With You 2019,
The 60th Anniversary Alumni Reunion

"On Saturday evening September 21st, 2019, another magical gathering took place as 980 - 990 - 690 CKGM Alumni traveled near and far to reconnect one more time and salute the 60th Anniversary of the famous call letters, C-K-G-M. This party event was the initiative of former CKGM staffers
Joanne Rudy, Omega Medina and Marc Denis.

Approximately 150 former employees of the iconic station launched in Montréal in 1959 by maverick owner-founder, the late great Geoff Stirling,
filed in to the Sir Winston Churchill Pub on Crescent Street in Montréal,
most solo with some accompanied by significant others or guests.
It made for a memorable, highly emotional Happy Hour
that lingered on until late in the evening.

Also in attendance and offering party support were several pals from the FM side, namely CKGM-FM/CHOM past and present, along with other colleagues from the old 1470 CFOX, many past or current CJAD, CJFM, CTV and CBC Montreal that can now all proclaim:

Mission accomplished...again, Happy 60th CKGM !"
